INX International to offer best-in class corrugated ink solutions and digital advice at Corr Expo ‘15

Schaumburg, IL – October 14, 2015 – Visitors to Corr Expo ’15 can expect to have plenty of options to consider at the INX International Ink Co. booth (213). North America’s third largest producer of inks will feature several traditional and digital ink solutions - including the new INXStar™ Plus - and will participate in one of the key conference sessions being held on the final day, which runs from October 19-21 at the Kentucky International Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Louisville.

Jim Lambert, VP and General Manager of INX International’s digital division, is one of three panelists who will discuss “Trends in Digital”, on Wednesday, October 21. During the 45-minute session that will be moderated by Jim Wegemer, Director of National Accounts for INX International, Lambert will examine the history and development of digital inks and processes in the last 10 years and what the future holds for the rigid and corrugated packaging markets.

Mr. Lambert also plans to address the merits of scanning or fixed head arrays, the advantages and disadvantages of drop-on-demand printing, and how samples, prototypes, proofs and short run production are making inroads in the corrugated segment. Joining him for the panel discussion will be representatives from Hewlett Packard and SUN Automation.

“We are excited about the many high end corrugated inks and the latest generation digital solutions we have to offer at this event,” said Jim Wegemer. “Since it is the 100th anniversary year for TAPPI, digital is a great example of how far technology has advanced in the corrugated industry, and INX is proud to be actively involved.”

Attendees looking to integrate digital into their operations will want to learn more about the JetINX™ Printhead Drive and Ink Recirculation System. It provides cost effective, customer driven solutions for inkjet printing, production workflows and material handling, and is the engine that drives the integration services of INX’s EVOLVE™ Advanced Digital Solutions products and the Prodigy™ brand.

INX formulates alternative inks for the corrugated market, including a water-based ink set with a primer, CMYK+White, and a jettable coating and UV Curable ink sets. Some offer as many as eight colors and are designed to work in most of the popular printheads used with corrugated digital printers. TRIANGLE® brand H76 UV Curable inks are optimized for high performance and superior adhesion with the HP® 7600™ series flatbed printer. IOS™ and FUS® UV Curable inks work in tandem with Inca® Onset™ printers to offer greater flexibility.

INXStar Plus represents a new line extension of the INXStar series. These premium quality, water-based flexographic inks and coatings were developed for high-end graphics work at higher printing speeds. They provide excellent strength and resolubility at high densities for sharp, clean printing and screen work up to 1000 line anilox.

INX will also showcase TriStar SpH™ and HyStar SpH™ at Corr Expo. These high-quality, low maintenance printing inks exhibit exceptional color density on mottled and coated substrates. Formulated with improved pH stability and viscosity, these low odor systems require little monitoring on press with easy clean up.
